While you may be a bit tired of hearing the music from "Frozen", I realized this week that the lyrics to "Let it Go" really do convey a great message about our attitude towards adversity:"Let it go..... Here I stand In the light of day Let the storm rage on, The cold never bothered me anyway!"
After a tough day at work, can you let things go and enjoy family and friends or do you hold on to the dark memories?
I think the trick is figuring out how to let things go---do you hug a dog, talk to your significant other, take a long walk, or continue to obsess about what went wrong and what you could have done differently. Listening to this tribal version of "Let it Go" sort of puts things in perspective for me. I hope it does for you, too. Just for today, take a moment to realize that whatever beach sand got under your bathing suit is able to be washed away. Whatever pebble got in your sock can be kicked away. We just have to let it go. Happy Communicating! Shelly
